Brandon, from Mesa, Arizona, went into Bill Heard Chevrolet because he heard a Radio Ad that said “get a minimum of $7,500 on your trade… no money down”.

So Brandon, and his brother went into the dealership and were greeted by Ray, the salesman.  What happens after that is a Consumer story of an honorary Debt Warrior:)

Looking at the picture to the right, do you see something missing?  Can you spot what it is? If not, you’re in good company.

What’s missing is the Addendum Sticker and in this case, the Mulroney Sticker as well.

Both of these stickers are required to be listed on any new vehicle sold. I’ve not been able to find anything official for it ( but I’m sure a good Consumer Lawyer would).

Anyway, an Addendum Sticker [pictured left] is a Credit Weapon used by some of the dirtiest Credit Predators in the Auto Industry.

An Addendum Stickers code names include:
ADM,
“Add-ons”,
mark-ups and
Rip-offs:( ]

This DIRTY TRICK is  SO PERVASIVE that even Kelly Blue-Book sells customized Addendum Stickers!

I could rant ALL DAY about Addendum Stickers, but as a DEBT WARRIOR, what matters to me is the massive debt, that Consumers are stuck with – after an Auto Dealers Dirty Tricks! And more importantly, helping Consumers move forward more intelligently and win their WAR ON DEBT :).

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE DEALER ADD-ON AMOUNT? Answer: $2,000. After cost, taxes (which are fair and legal) and dealer mark-ups, many Auto Dealers will add-on about $2,000 in extras. These are NOT options. They are literally “stuck” on to the car price and are normally non-renegotiable. The most common add-on is a wax-job listed as something like ‘environmental coating” to make it sound all fancy and understandable.

Imagine being charged an extra $2,000 on $17,988? The result [below] would be astonishing!

When you go to trade it in, the Vehicle will be based on MSRP, not what you actually paid for the car.
